ROPET is a cute AI powered emotional and social robotic pet

ROPET, an emotional AI powered social robot (or a pet robot) by the company that goes with the same name, was unveiled recently at CES 2025. ROPET is an emotional robot that can laugh, get sad, shy, angry or happy and interact with you in various cute ways. All it needs is a little warmth and love.

While it can continue it’s expressional conversations with you in disconnected mode, it can engage in thoughtful conversations using integrated ChatGPT feature when it is connected with WiFi.

ROPET looks like a character from an animated movie or series. It has two magical eyes working as a main source of expression, a nose with a small (but not visilbe) camera and a mic, and a soft fur coat around it’s face to give you a feel of a pet animal. It mimics cozy and familiar behavior like that of a pet cat or a dog.

ROPET comes with a mobile application that allows you to change it’s look and feel. With the help of application, the user can change the color and expression of the eyes as well as it’s voice. You can also make external physical changes to the ROPET by being able to change it’s face mask which comes in different color variations and the fur that comes in different colors as well as designs.

While it cannot move from one place to another, it sits on a circular platform that allows it to rotate 360 degree which allows it to follow you till the time it can see you. It can be put on a charging base while continuing it’s fun conversations with you.

It can recognize you with it’s face recognition feature, thus knowing whom to interact with and otherwise. It read your emotions, understand different hand gestures like numbers, hifive, etc., converse with another ROPET, can dance with you on different tunes and much more. When asked to keep quite by keeping a finger on your lip, it will understand it’s time to shut up 🙂

Another exciting feature of ROPET is that it will keep adding points with every interaction and the owner can trade these points for new accessories as well as updates.

This social emotional pet robot is designed to learn and adapt to the owner’s personality from day one and it keeps improving. All it will want is to please you and not let you forget it :-). It can be a part of your day starting from the morning when you wake up to the end of the day when you go to sleep. And all it takes is a warm cuddle for you to make it sleep at night.

This cute robot is planned for launch with production in the 2nd month of 2025 and to be shipped in March 2025.
